Lost + Found

A (re)starting point

written by Knobs

15-year-old me would be very happy about all this.

Small Batch season is upon us again.

This year that means two things:

  • Reverse Mode C is back (in a new colorway)

  • We’ve made our first true multi-effect

Lost + Found and Reverse Mode C, two effects pedals by Chase Bliss.

I’ll explain what all of this means below, but feel free to follow one of these buttons if you prefer:

Do you remember getting your first multi-effect? Mine was a Zoom RP200. I had no idea how to use it, and I think that made me like it even more.

I’ve been reflecting on that experience and how magical it all felt, this brand new world where things have names like “phaser” and “compressor.” I had to know everything about it. Multi-effects are such a natural partner for that beginner’s mind: Whatever you need – even if you don’t know what it is – it’s in there. You can just wander around until you find it. But then little-by-little you learn things, and collect things, and “flanger” starts to sound like a normal word that normal people say.

So that’s why we made Lost + Found.

It’s a different kind of starting point, a collection of effects that covers all of your needs but in a fresh new way. An opportunity to get off-balance, re-examine your sound, and ask important questions like “what is happening right now?”

Lost + Found

Lost + Found is not a collection of the essentials, it’s more like having somebody’s prized pedal collection all to yourself to wander around and test out.

It’s made up of 12 modes inspired by vintage oddities and rare effect types (and a few familiar favorites to tie it all together). There are 144 possible combinations: You can blend two different synths together, or make a ratcheting reverb, or run two pitch swells at once to make an all-consuming super effect.

That kind of thing.

It has the boldest sounds we’ve ever put in a pedal.

Small Batch Bliss

Lost + Found is the second pedal in our Small Batch collection. We’ve also brought back Reverse Mode C in a new colorway for the occasion.

It works like this:

Small Batch Bliss is a made-to-order line of special edition pedals, and everyone that wants one can get one. There is no limit or selling out – simply order within the month-long preorder period and we’ll make a pedal just for you.

It lets us make pedals that are weird, and risky, and that we simply wouldn’t make otherwise. This way we won’t sell out if you love it, and we won’t be stuck with shelves of them if you decide it’s our worst idea ever.

After August 31st we’ll total up the orders and get to work.

Read more about Small Batch Bliss.

So that’s it!

You have until the end of August to order a Lost + Found and/or a Reverse Mode C.

Orders will start shipping mid-September on a first-come, first-serve basis. The total fulfillment time will depend on how many pedals are ordered, we’ll update with our best guesses in real-time as the month progresses.

Thanks for reading, and let us know if you have thoughts or questions about anything!
