On their latest release, Nallo pares things down to the essentials: chunky grunge guitars butting up against quietly twinkling passages, with weighty songs about anxiety and mental illness set against a modern backdrop of socio-political distress.

Their new self-titled LP, out on Chase Bliss Records, offers a focused and carefully crafted follow-up to their psychedelic garage debut, Mechano and the Trees (2012) and Breather (2014), the band’s veer into country and slow-core.
